The trip to London
First Day

The bustrip to London should start at 5.00am. But one pupil forgot his identity card, so the trip started at 5.20. We drove through France. Some pupils tried to sleep during the journey. At Calais we had to go on a ferry. The crossing lasted 1hour and 20 minutes.
And then we were in England. After arriving in England the teachers realized that we still had enough time. So they decided to make a stop at Canterbury and there we were allowed to go shopping in little groups for 1hour. After this hour all of us went to the bus. Then the busdriver drove to New Malden, a suburb of London. There our host families met us at the bus station.

A Day At London
Day 2

Today on 9o'clock, we met the teachers at our meetingpount, the station of New Malden. In London we learned how use the underground in all directions. Later we had free-time for 30 minutes to buy postcards. Then we were going to Madame Tusaud's, that was great! We saw lots of famous persons as wax figures. E.g. Naomi, Madonna, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Brad Pitt, Michael Jackson, Gerhard Schröder, Adolf Hitler, and lots of other famous pupils. In the evening we wrote the Postcards for our family and friends.

Our journey back home
The last day

In the morning our host families took us to the bus. The bus driver put our luggage into the bus. At 9 o'clock the bus left New Malden. After two hours we reached Dover (England). We went by ferry to Calais (France). The journey across the sea lasted 76 minutes. From Calais to Freistett (Germany) we needed 9 hours, with two stops on the motorway. During the trip home, the boys and girls played card games and we all did a quiz about our stay at London. The quizmaster was Mrs. Wetzel. When we were at home all parents met their children.
